I had the opportunity to handcraft a bespoke tie with one of our most softest silk (016 Green floral Paisley), this cloth was purchased for me in Italy by a friend of mine who sent me photos letting me know that this would make a lovely tie and I could agree more, so I ordered a few metres.
This is kind of silk that will work well with the nonchalant four in hand and full Windsor knot simultaneously. The drape itself will certainly give you a relaxed fluidity with your movement.
The best thing about made to order ties is calling the shots on the details that suits you and makes your necktie unique to your personal taste.
This is the special part about made to order as you can tailor the tie to how you really want it, such as the width, length, tipping style, colour of the bullion and much more. Our client had this tie made using the 3-fold construction, 9cm wide and has a navy double duchess silk tipping, which wonderfully complements the green hues.
The single bullion matches the purple paisley motif. This tie was handcrafted on our standard length (152cm) and was lined with a medium standard wool interlining. Note, how all the colours of the details harmonise with each other as one.
If I had this tie made for myself, I would pair it with a pink shirt to echo the purple and pink colour, and let the green and black pattern contrast distinctively.
