As I mentioned in my last blog post that the ties you wear with your pocket square are suppose to complement each other and not match. If you haven't read it yet, then feel free to check it out here.
The way to achieve this is by taking the colour or colours, which you would like to highlight most. For an example the Gordon tie (above) has a bold yellow check running across the tartan pattern, which picks up the yellow within the design of the pocket square. Have you noticed that these are not the only colours harmonising with each other here? For instance, The green colour also plays a part and believe it or not, the navy in the tie also goes with the tones of blues in the pocket square.
