In the second collection I released the Mr. London tie and it is back by popular demands! Luckily, during moving houses the fabric resurfaced and it would have been great injustice not to make more!
However I did make a few changes such as instead of using the multi-coloured tipping, I opted for black raw silk because I wanted to match the victorian London landmarks and allow the yellow colour stand out more.
I used light interlining to ensure a various different knots could be easily applied better.
Finally, you may have noticed that this tie does not have a keeper. I know I am bound to get a disciplinary by a few purists reading this! However my intentions were to allow the label to do the job of the keeper, which is to secure the tail behind the front blade. As the Mr.London tie is light-weight and narrow (7cm), it did not warrant the excess weight or detail, which is very slight but valid indeed!
Sometimes it is the small things that makes such BIG difference!
