During my holiday in Scotland, I was leisurely scrolling and observing the surroundings. Then I spotted a fabric shop and saw all the wonderful different wool tartans glaring at me! As I am aware that my surname is of Scottish origin, I asked the shopkeeper if they had any Gordon tartan material and to my delight, they did! When I began making this tie I decided that I wanted it to be light-weight and therefore use an appropriate interlining to ensure this. The vision for this tie was a sense of 'easy-going’ or ‘relaxed’. Therefore it seemed important for the weight to be taken into consideration.
The Gordon tartan tie has a combination of blue, green, black and yellow pattern, which will gives you the opportunityto wear it with a black, navy or even olive green worsted wool suit with a crisp white shirt. The yellow windowpane running through the tartan pattern will always ensure that your appearance is distinctive. What is the importance of distinction you may ask? Well, what is the point of looking like everyone else and lacking self-expression. After all, our good friend Oscar Wilde says “Be yourself. Everyone Else Is Taken".
This tie is made from 100% wool and is therefore, the perfect choice to select for your autumn and winter style. Especially as in general we tend to dress in darker Hues in this current season.
